[세계뉴스 미디어팀] 2013년 5월 중국에서 출간된 박근혜 대통령의 자서전 '절망은 나를 단련시키고, 희망은 나를 움직인다'(絶望鍛鍊了我)가 지금까지 61만 권 판매된 것으로 집계됐다.

27일 주중 한국문화원에 따르면 이 책은 중국에서 출간된 이후 전기 분야에서 꾸준히 베스트셀러 자리를 지켜오고 있다.

 
한국문화원 관계자는 "상하이이린(上海譯林) 출판사에서 번역된 책이 61만 권 정도 발매됐다는 이야기를 들었으며, 판매량도 그 정도 수준으로 보인다"고 전했다.

 
중국 최대 온라인 서점인 당당왕(當當網) 집계 결과, 이 책은 2014년 전기 서적 판매분야에서 종합순위 2위를 기록했다. 현재까지 4만여 개의 평가 글이 달렸다.

 
한 중국인 독자는 "사람들은 정치인이 하는 말을 가장 믿을 수 없다고 하지만 나는 내 안목과 정신을 믿는다"며 "박근혜는 굳센 여성 정치가"라고 평가했다.

 
박 대통령은 중국어를 할 줄 아는 데다 중국을 방문해 연설할 때마다 중국의 역사, 고사성어 등을 인용해 많은 중국인의 환영을 받았다. 평범하지 않은 인생역정 역시 중국인 독자들이 주목하는 부분이다.
